As a current lecturer and PhD student of Griffith University, I have completed a Bachelor of Multimedia in Interactive Entertainment and Games Programming and a Bachelor of Digital Media with 1st Class Honours. I have been the IT & Web Officer since joining Golden Key, Vice President for 2011 and now President for the year of 2012. A Microsoft Student Partner since 2007, I am constantly learning about new advances in technology and I desire to impart this knowledge to my peers.

Mengzhu is a Griffith Conservatorium Bachelor of Music graduate and is currently studying dentistry (Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science). She is a past Community Services Officer for Griffith Golden Key also an active member in other societies such as Hope4Health and the Chinese Students' Community GUGC and hopes through her multicultural and multidisciplinary background to promote Golden Key to a variety of students. Mengzhu is passionate about volunteering and has worked with many organisations such as MS QLD, Clean Up Australia Day, Lifeline and Bicycle Queensland, and has been an international student mentor in the Griffith Golden Key Mentoring Program. Mengzhu would like Golden Key to offer more opportunities for volunteering, inter-club cooperation and literacy based initiatives and will work towards this in 2012.

Yuan is an event management student and is set to graduate at the end of 2011. However she demonstrates a passion for student jobs and would like to make contribution to Griffith Golden Key, thus ending up becoming part of this awesome society as Secretary even after graduation. As an international student, she shows more care about the students from other cultural backgrounds and is keen to help them better settle into university. Her experience with GI MATES and Student Linx on campus and various voluntary work would make her more confident to assist in providing our members and non-members a better quality of campus life.

James has lived on the Gold Coast since 2005 when he moved from Canberra. Currently he is in his 3rd year studying, at the Griffith Gold Coast Campus, Commerce - Majoring in Economics and Finance. He plans on continuing his studies next year by undertaking an honours program. He joined Golden Key in semester 2 2010 and has since joined the executive committee as operations coordinator.

Alisha Head is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with the goal of becoming a health professional in the future. She joined Golden Key in 2011 and was also appointed as Recruitment and Public Relations Chairperson for the Gold Coast. Alisha is excited to be part of this wonderful society and committed to increasing the opportunities that Golden Key provides in relation to medicine and the health field. As well as expanding the number of members in the society, Alisha also aims to enhance relationships with various other universities and organisations.

Jade is studying a bachelor of Law/Arts at Griffith. Within her arts degree she has completed many public relations subjects and is looking forward to working in this field as part of the Golden Key, Griffith Chapter in 2012. She has worked on PR campaign strategies with the Queensland Rural Fire Service and is excited to work on more projects like this in the future. Jade is new to Golden Key and is looking forward to learning more about GK while being part of the executive committee in 2012.

Tam is in his third and final year of the Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and is an active member in Golden Key, the Griffith University Employment Relations and HR Management Society (GERMS) and the Griffith Honours College. He will be commencing in his role as Social Committee Chairperson on the Gold Coast in the Golden Key International Honours Society for 2012. This coincides with him joining the Executive Committee of GERMS in the role of Recruitment Executive. Since moving to the Gold Coast, Tam has helped out with the local community via volunteering and working with many organisations such as Bicycle Queensland and the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland; and helping out with events such as the Mother�s Day Classic and White Ribbon Day. Tam hopes to provide more benefits to Golden Key members to improve them in the aspects of leadership, community involvement and increase their readiness to enter the workforce upon graduation.

Jade is currently studying a Bachelor of Law and Environmental Science at the Nathan campus. She became a general member of Golden Key last year and looks forward to being involved in the executive committee in 2012. Jade is passionate about volunteering and promoting the organisations which she is involved with. She has experience in organising and supervising events both through her experience in the hospitality industry as well as through organisations such as the Australian Wild Law Alliance of which she is a member. Jade would like Golden Key to provide more opportunities for members to come together, allowing a stronger network to be built between all of its members, and looks forward to working towards this in 2012.

Emi is a second year Arts/Law student majoring in Spanish in her Arts degree. She moved to Brisbane after a year initiating the Youth Environmental Society in her home town, which aimed at providing school environmental groups a network to learn and grow from each other. Emi is involved with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition which is building a generation wide youth movement to solve the climate crisis. Emi is passionate about people and the environment. She enjoys travelling, exploring new places and meeting new people! In 2012 she hopes to ensure that the community of Golden Key Griffith has an environmental and equitable focus. If you have any ideas or concerns please let her know!!

Prudence is currently studying a double degree in law and business (majoring in management) She has a keen interest in international law, specifically international human rights. She has taken part in events run by World Vision, aimed at increasing awareness about the problem of child labour and is hoping to get more involved in other organisations with similar purposes. Prudence is also actively involved in many university programs and organisations including the Golden Key International Student Mentoring Program, Griffith Business Students Association, and Griffith University Leadership Program. In 2012 Prudence would like to see Golden Key gain more awareness amongst Griffith University Students.

Tihana Nikolic has graduated in the Bachelor of Arts in Languages and Applied Linguistics as well as in the Graduate Certificate in TESOL. She is currently studying the Master of Arts in Education, focusing on language learning and teaching. She is passionate about linguistic research and enabling successful intercultural communication, and has two of her assignments published in the Griffith Working Papers in Pragmatics and Intercultural Communication. Her aim is to contribute to the professional development sector by providing linguistic workshops, helping the Golden Key members stand out and be highly successful communicators in today`s international business environment. As a Corporate Relations officer for 2012, Tihana is hoping to make the Corporate Wine and Cheese Evening 2012 even more valuable professional development experience for our Golden Key members.

William Despotovic is now serving his third year on the executive committee of the Griffith University Golden Key Chapter. In 2010, William graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations. He is currently studying in the Griffith Business School Honours Program. Those that have met William will understand that he is passionate about Learning and Development. His role as the Professional Development Executive enables him to provide opportunities for Golden Key members to develop themselves both personally and professionally through providing a series of self development workshops and presentations. In addition, William works with the executive committee members to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to operate professionally with the aim of better serving the Golden Key member body".

Dallan is currently in his fourth year of a Law/ Business dual degree on Nathan campus. In 2010, Dallan was the Social Chair � Brisbane for the Griffith Golden Key Chapter, and was elected President in 2011. Dallan aims to continue Griffith�s Gold Standing by delivering high quality events to a wider range of Golden Key members, and increasing membership intake across Griffith University. Dallan is also committed to strengthening the chapter�s strong relationship with Griffith, and surrounding universities and Golden Key Chapters.
